Updates to our service
The store front on Clapgate Lane is now closed and I have relocated to make the business more flexible and mobile. By making this change I have been able to reduce costs dramatically for everyone. Our new mobile van is expected to launch in the coming months pending staff training.
I am open as usual and taking bookings for celebration orders, click and collect for bakery purchases plus local deliveries in the Ipswich area. Check back for future updates!

Hello and welcome to BMC Cakery! My name is Rachel and I have owned and baked for the business for the past 7 years. After starting out in my home kitchen back in 2017, I rapidly grew my customer base and have been fortunate to have spent the last 6 years working being shop based ever since. Recently I have decided to take the business more mobile and change the way my time is spent after welcoming my son into the world in late 2023. My newly converted cake van is now ready to serve the streets of Suffolk and beyond and i’ll be back with click and collect for bakery goods in the coming weeks. I look forward to welcoming you into my newly refurbished collection point soon :)

Our Delicious Handmade Cake Range
We specialise in buttercream and drip style cakes but have been known to offer fondant iced on occasion, so no matter the event or gathering we can provide you with a cake that is sure to please the crowd.
We use fresh, locally sourced ingredients where possible, Belgian chocolate and Free Range eggs in all our cakes and bakes and each cake is handmade from scratch and decorated to suit each theme or occasion. None of our cakes are ever frozen which means they reach you freshly baked, in optimal condition, always! We can cater for most dietary requirements and have a specific area and utensils for Gluten Free baking.
Prices start from £35.00
*Minimum of 5 days notice required for cakes with bespoke decoration or additional toppers.
